The idea

A music festival isn't just a gig in a field. For most people who travel to one, it's a second holiday — two or three days that cost real money, require real planning, and are hard to recover from if the logistics go wrong. Getting to the wrong campsite, staying in the wrong neighbourhood, missing the last shuttle — these are the mistakes that ruin the trip.

Festival Insider exists to prevent those mistakes. We publish practical festival travel guides covering where to stay, how to get there, how to get in and out, what to do in the city, and the survival intelligence you only pick up after being there.

The model

The people who know a festival best are the ones who've been to it. Every guide section carries a verification label: Verified (Attended), Verified (Local), Verified (Official), Community-Verified, or honestly labelled as Unverified when we don't have a confirmed source. We don't present third-party experience as our own.

Who we are

Festival Insider was founded by Chris Taylor, based in Fareham, Hampshire. Chris has press accreditation history at Victorious Festival (2022) and Camp Bestival Dorset (2022), and a long personal history attending festivals across the UK and Europe.

The community are the real insiders. Festival Insider's job is to surface and organise that knowledge.

What we cover

Our primary focus is UK-outbound travel to European music festivals and major UK events where the travel logistics are genuinely complex. We do not publish news, artist coverage, or line-up reviews.
