Festival Insider's guides are built on one thing: knowledge from people who've actually been. If you've attended a festival, live near one, or have inside information about a festival city — that's exactly what we're looking for.
What we publish
Festival travel guides covering where to stay, how to get there, what to do in the city, and the survival details that usually only come from experience. Not reviews, not news — logistics and first-hand knowledge.
What counts as a contribution
- Attended (within the last 24 months): Any section of a guide — where you stayed, how you got there, what you'd do differently. Even five good tips earns a verified contributor credit.
- Local knowledge: If you live in or near a festival city, your knowledge of where to actually eat, stay, and get around is more valuable than any travel guide.
- Official source: Working in the festival industry, transport, or local authority? Official knowledge earns a Verified (Official) label.
- FAQ corrections: If something in a guide is wrong or outdated, tell us. We'll update it and credit you.
Contributor tiers
| Tier | Requirement | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Contributor | 1 verified tip or section | Named credit on the guide |
| Regular | 3+ verified contributions | Named on multiple guides; contributor profile |
| Insider | 5+ contributions, or 3+ festivals attended | Insider badge; eligible for press ticket partnerships |
What we don't publish
- Unverified speculation presented as fact
- Content copied from other sources
- Commercial or promotional content for venues or brands
- Artist or line-up reviews — we cover logistics, not headliner opinions
